During the summer of 2022, Elise By Olsen & author Morten Langeland founded the newspaper Første Utgave [First Edition], under the motto of ‘leggerezza [lightweight] and critical’. The Norwegian newspaper has since its inception been a playful and energy based project, initiated with the desire for a more spontaneous and impulsive culture, with a shorter production cycle. A publication with both artistic and newsworthy value, operating in the margins, independent. The format? One A1 sheet, both sides, with texts and illustrations. Tabloid columns: ’weather forecast’, ‘sports’, ‘culinary reviews’, ‘from the correspondent’. Classic pink sheets. Aesthetical value in its poster-like qualities. Until further ado, the paper has been released in five editions with almost 100 contributors from the arts, litterature and straight off the streets. Første Utgave changes its name every issue, from Første Utgave [First Edition], Neste Utgave [Next Edition], Tredje Utgave [Third Edition], Siste Utgave [Last Edition] and finally, Ekstra Utgave [Extra Edition].
